Oh, and I forgot to answer the actual question of this thread: Colonel Brandon. I mean, I love Snape, but it would be extremely difficult to really get close to him. I'm a very emotional kind of person, so I'd find it hard to be in a relationship with someone who has learnt to keep his emotions secret.

I'll try to do a search for that fanfic, but as I said, it was a Jason Isaacs fan fic, not Alan--it just got us started imagining all of Alan's characters together!

All right, I've read it. Really cool and interesting premise (I laughed so hard at "What is a quidditch?"). And I'd love to contribute to writing something like that for Alan's characters.
So how do we organize this?
I think the Jason Five Times fic has one weakness - it doesn't explain how all of these characters ended up together in one household, it says parallel universe, and that's about it. Personally, I would love to have a frame story, and truth be told, I have an idea...
Then, given the creativity of so many skilled writers at this forum, I think the story should have a concept that allows for several female characters, ideally several narrative voices as well. I think we agree that we can never limit ourselves to just five of Alan's characters, so I guess we need more than just one woman to handle them all, LOL. Another advantage of that concept is that we don't need to agree on one common heroine and a single narrative style that leads through the whole story. Each of us can write the way she feels is best and can create her own female protagonist.
My idea is to magically lock them all up in a house that can be entered from the outside, but not left before a certain event, spell, moon phase, whatever has come to pass. This way, unsuspecting friends can come to visit and find themselves unable to leave the premises.
Another aspect we have to organize is the betaing, i.e. checking for grammar, style, register, and logical errors. I would be very grateful if a native speaker was prepared to beta the parts I'm writing.

OK. I've been playing around with some ideas and came up with a frame story. It's just a first draft, no more than a bit of brainstorming, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

The concept can be expanded easily by adding new female characters that enter the house (friends of Stacy's coming to visit, assuming that she is alone) and new male characters that show up in unexpected places of the house.
