That's OK, me too, especially when I think there are more zeros in my bank account than there really are!!!
Or maybe it's just a big "0" today, after all the shopping!!!

Hi, Mari!
I'm from Illinois, in the US of course, and believe it or not, I just met someone from Norway yesterday!! I've never met anyone from your country before, and it's not that usual to meet anyone from another country here, because there aren't that many reasons to come here! (except doctors, who are mostly from Eastern countries) What a cool coincidence!
I can't say exactly what the circumstances are, because of patient confidentiality (I'm a nurse) but still, how cool!
(I can't remember if anyone else is from Norway...sorry! now I'm going to feel bad if some of our regular people are!)

Hi Mari, welcome. I'm very lucky in that I live in a tourist destination. Every summer my community is flooded with people from all over the world. I love talking to people and finding out what their homelands are all like right from the source as opposed to on the news. My sister and I used to keep a log when we were kids of all the countries and provinces and states that people had come here from. We have met some of the most interesting (and different) people imaginable. This forum is quite like that. _________________

We haven't used this thread in a long time, but I thought I would post here. One of my favorite times of the year is coming up. The town we live close to, where I work, and the kids go to school, has a hot air balloon festival every year. It's a really big deal here, and pretty well our main event and tourist attraction. I never get tired of the balloons, and we have several pilots in the area, and see them go up every once in awhile during the warmer months. (my hubby bought a balloon ride for me one year for my birthday, my favorite present ever!) Matthew has crewed for balloons the past 2 years and plans to again this year, but hasn't gotten to go up yet, hopefully he will this year!
Here's a link to the offical Balloon Fest website, if anyone wants to look, and it may show a little about our area:
http://www.balloon-fest.com/
If anyone has websites about their town or events, post them, it's fun to learn about other places, especially to see where our Divas are from! _________________ ~~~Nora~~~
