I really want to see this movie. But, before I spend 25 bucks on it, I was wondering if any of you have seen it and liked it. Does Alan have a lot of screen time?

I love this movie!
It's crazy!
And, yes, Alan gets plenty of screen time, not quite as much as Mike Binder, but still plenty.
Well worth the money, in my opinion.

My loving boyfriend ordered me this movie for my birthday... with the condition that I wait until he leaves the country to watch it. We watched Dogma the other night (on his request lol) and he said that was my Alan quota filled for the week. I will be watching John Gissing tomorrow night, methinks.

I just wanted you ladies to know that I was looking through Amazon and Guess what ...This dvd is for sale on Amazon for 17.99$ Which is a really good price concidering I paid 24.00 through Freebird and the fact that only freebird has had the authorization to sell this dvd which I believe is region free... Shocked

and one of the movies they have listed is John Gissing!! Laughing

The release date is 8/12/08, so apparently is being released to retailers!

The price listed is $17.86. (and with Wal-mart, you can have it sent to your local store, no shipping cost, and pick it up there)
Now, I know not everyone on this board has a Wal-Mart....but if it's released there, it should be to other places, right? Cool

They have The Barchester Chronicles, too...

I also saw Best Buy will be releasing it then too for $14.99.
I dont know if that's the same with shipping or not.
