Hello, I would like to let you know that The Return Of The Native is available in the Gutenberg Project http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/122
You will be able to read along to Alan's reading if you have the audio book. It makes it easier to understand for those whose first language is not English.
Dear Madam, I am not sure where to put this. Maybe you can move it where it would be expected. Thank you... _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

Thanks, Magenta.
I'm listening to CD 7 at the moment and have to say that I still find it very challenging, but it's getting easier. When I started, my main problem was that I paid more attention to Alan's voice than to what was going on in the book, LOL. But it's worth the effort. Thomas Hardy's language is beautiful, and Alan's reading makes the characters come to life. _________________

Ah yes, Alan's voice is distracting. But if you read along you can enjoy his work. Acting, but not over-doing it. Reading and giving me a reason to take on something I would not have choosen without encouragement. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |
