So, another "evil" character, a fantastic slow, drawn out death and a DUET with Mr. Depp...Oh and don't even mention the really, REALLY tight trousers Shocked

Okay, this was the best movie I've seen in aaaaages, but I only know a few people who've seen it and none of them want to analyse Alan's every move throughout that performance (fools, don't know what they're missing...) so I figured I'd just start a thread on here!! Smile

So, ladies (and maybe a few gentlemen?? I dunno!) let's have your feedback on anything, be it the the singing, the stubble, the er...crotch Embarassed whatever! Very Happy

Sweeney Todd opens here this weekend, so after I´ve seen it I will be willing to talk about Alans every move in the film!
Can´t wait to see it, I´m especially interested in the tight trousers Wink

Gosh you poor things!!! I nearly died waiting for January to come (okay, minor exageration) dunno what I'd do if I had to wait as long as you!! But don't waste away cuz it's definitely worth living for!!! Very Happy

Ohh but I'm soo miffed that they cut the Judge's version of "Johanna"-it's such a show stopper and not to mention it involves the character getting shirtless and whipping himself...it's a niiiice thought (without getting too, um, 'disrespectful') but sadly, we don't get to see the man do anything like that Sad[/img]

Was that song version in the play or did they actually film it? I loved the song Johanna and I woulda loved it more if Alan would have sang it. Laughing

Oh you poor things! ST opened here just before Christmas and I went to see it the 28th of December and thought I was going to die just waiting that few days LOL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie! The musical itself has been my favorite for such a long time and it was great to see that Tim Burton really did do the musical justice. The only problem I had with it was that my favorite song Pirelli's Miracle Elixer was cut sort but I lived... and as sad as it was, the part where Judge Turpin, I have to admit, I was laughing my butt off. It was too funny. The DVD should be just around the corner since it takes about 5 months from theater release to hit DVDs so I can't wait to see what fun stuff will be on it!

We were lucky here in Canada. I saw it on December 23 and I loved it. I went with a friend of mine who has the same sense of humour and the same love of the arts as I do. We laughed out loud at some of the lyrics. I'm the big Alan Rickman fan but even my friend commented on the 'trousers'. How could any woman not? One soon forgets the 'finger nails' when faced with, er, that.

Hah, that's what happened with me! I went to see it with a friend that I worked with but we both have the same sense of humor and I had to warn her that I know every song from the musical and I'm a BIG Alan film... then she shocked me with "Hey! He's the snarky guy from Harry Potter right? He's sexy" LOL

I think I have some serious Alan problems. I will be seeing this film for the 3rd time. The only way I can make this sound acceptable is that it won't cost me a thing because my friend works in a cinema and hasn't seen the film, so she got free tickets.

Yes, I'm insane.
