Nah, don't feel that way Jacks. I'm always spewing out my opinions even when the Rickman Girls don't ask for it. Differnet opinions are healthy and productive and keeps us from becoming sheep. |

I was the same way, Nora though I was gun-ho for Snape from the very beginning. There was always something in me wondering why he was the way he was though I didn't think him evil. But from the beginning of the first book I was in love with his character. Not for the looks because I agree with you, the book Snape is not meant to be sexy in looks, but he has a brilliant mind and I love the snarkiness of his character. It cracks me up sometimes! _________________ ~*~ Beth ~*~ |

I really liked the character Snape when I read the first HP book, a long long time ago... I am always drawn to the "evil" character in books and films, just beacause they are often so much more interesting than the hero.
But I always thought that Snape was actually a good guy, it would have been really boring if the guy everybody thought was evil, really was evil... |

That's exactly how I felt when I read PS for the first time. I was thinking all the time "what an interesting character we have here, it's a pity if he's the villain, because he surely won't be coming back for the next books". So, my Snape-adiction had nothing to do with Alan at that time...
But, returning to the point of the topic, I think that the only "good" characters in this story are Toby, Johanna and Anthony. The rest are all a bunch of psycopaths, I tell you But that's the fun of the story, isn't it? A psycho murderer, a corrupted judge, a freak cook... _________________

This banner of Omega13 is really distracting.
BTW is anybody participating in this forum who has seen this performance of Antony and Cleopatra? I would love to read a favourable review. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

It is a wonderful subject that can never be talked about too much...
Unfortunately, Sweeney Todd is not coming out on dvd here until july!
so it will be a while before I can rest my eyes on those wonderful trousers again... |

Same here, July 18th. The UK DVD will be available in May. Not being the most patient person in the world, I might not wait until July just to get a "German" version (with only the few bits spoken between two songs dubbed, and with subtitles I don't need) that I'll never use anyway... _________________
