He can, though!!

It needed to be said!
I wish Alan was sucking on my neck right now...
See, these are the kinds of things I can only say to you guys, and not the people at work who are around me right now... Very Happy

Haha it's so true. I have to keep it quiet here. My housemates were asking my boyfriend how he feels about my Alan addiction. He said he doesn't care. I was like "It isn't that bad..." and they were like "what site are you on right now?"... It was Rickman forum haha. Guilty as charged.

We all have to have an outlet in life, and as outlets go, it's a tame and harmless one!!! We also get to be a bit risque, knowing that it will be appreciated!!!!

I would love to see someone make "The Vampire Lestat" into a movie, and I've always imagined Alan as Marius. When I read the book many moons ago, I imagined Alan as Marius then... And still could see him in the role. I think Marius's character is fairly ageless, so it would work.

And I wish Tom Cruise would reprise the role of Lestat (never thought I'd say that in a million years!!) I thought I'd hate him as Lestat (I wanted to see Julian Sands play him), but he really did a great job.

you know, I don't like Tom Cruise, either, and I haven't read the books, but I thought he did a great job. Fairly crazy, really...and I loved him at the end. It's good when you can forget who the actor is. My daughter didn't realize it was him.
And, I don't know anything about Marius...but I'd love to see Alan play a vamp. wow.

Yeah, I have been toying with this idea, too. Alan as Marius, do you think he would enjoy hardly moving at all? But the story would be worth to be put into film. maybe one should try to egg on Neil Jordan again.
I cannot see Tom Cruise as Lestate anymore. He was brilliant then. But...
In the book Lestate is younger than in the Interview.
So who could be another brilliant Vampire?

Well, there's always Jason Isaacs...you all know he's one of my favorites, he wouldn't even need contacts to change his eyes, they're already mesmerizing! He has that certain something, he can be evil, deadly, strangly quiet, very sexy, charming...and those are all vampire qualities, aren't they? Heck, Lucius almost looks like a vampire...

Switching the subject from vampires to bigger monsters, just finished watching "Cloverfield". It was really good, I liked it a lot!
I love "big-scary-monster-attack-America-movies (strangely enough the monsters never attack Sweden..., wonder why!?), and this one had a nice new twist to it.
It was shot with hand camera, and through it you got to follow a group of people running from this big thing who suddenly showed up in New York. There were no explenations to what the monster was or where it came from, the audience didn't know anything more than the characters in the movie.
Kind of Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla.
And it made me cry a couple of times... big surprise... Rolling Eyes

A couple of inches... that makes him 5'9"... That is not short at all.

We are looking for someone 5'7" or something...

Well that is only another couple of inches.

Okay, if you can convince him... Jason Isaacs. Do You think he would like to play Lestate?

I almost accidentally took the kids to Cloverfield instead of The Spiderwick Chronicles... Shocked I was temporarily confused... moreso than usual.

I FINALLY saw The Others a couple of nights ago. That movie genuinely freaked me out. I was very surprised at the ending. Bizarre... I had bad dreams about it... Rolling Eyes

As someone who is 5'8" I think 5'9" for a guy isn't that tall. My partner is about that height and he doesn't feel or look that tall to me. 5'11+ is when I consider someone to be tall. But I'm probably not a good judge because my family on my dads side are quite tall. My brother is 15 and 6'2" and my dad is 6' and his wife is 5'10".

I've just IMDb'd Jason Isaacs and he's 5'11"...tall enough for me!! (although 6'1" is a perfect height, obviously)

I'm 5'7" and thought I was quite tall until my kids overtook me!! Jenny is 15 and 5'10", Alex is 13 and still growing and is 5'10" too. Andrew is 6'0"

Grrr,
I did not take into consideration that 6'1" (Alan) minus a couple of inces would be 5'11" I thought it would be 5'9"... That makes a lot of a difference. So I think Jason Isaacs is too tall for Lestate. Anyway... I will not have a chance to cast the movie "The Vampire Lestate" anyway. So it does not matter.

I myself am 5'7", average height for a tallish woman from the early sixties. But these days we are short.

It all depends on your perspective. Everyone taller than myself is tall for me.

What am I rambling on about... We need not discuss that. Cool

Alan is 6'1" according to every biography I've ever read (and everyone who's ever seen him personally remarks on his height, but most women are short, so all men seem tall to them...)
Jason Isaacs height is officially listed as 5'11" which isn't short, but is what I consider average height for men.
And, Jason seems a little more stocky to me, so that makes him seem not as tall.
(but still hot, such gorgeous eyes....oooohhh, I'm getting distracted....)

ooops.....
just read the rest of the posts, and realized everyone else had posted (?) the exact same thing!
note to self...finish the thread before you post, Nora!
SORRY!

And, I'm 5'8", so, yea, that's why I don't think 5'11" is all that tall, but I'd take JI if I could get ahold of him! (hubby is 5'10")
and yes, 6'1" is quite nice Laughing
