I FINALLY watched "Interview With The Vampire" today...WOW!
This movie has it all....gorgeous men...Brad, who looks probably as beautiful as I've ever seen him, ANTONIO!! Shocked OMG, when he walked onto the screen, wow, he was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. If that vampire walked up to me, I would follow him anywhere.
I even liked Tom Cruise in this movie, and I'm so not a Tom Cruise fan.
Kirsten Dunst was fantastic, and eerie.
Of course, I like vampires, so that part was great.
I watched it alone, because of the R rating, but I'll let my daughter (a budding vampire fan) watch it if she wants, because other than some female nudity (no biggie for her--she has her own boobies!) I don't see a big deal. Implied man-love, but no actual scenes...
Visually, a wonderful movie, I'm sorry I waited so long Sad

I was a Repeat Offender on that one.. I think I went to the movies to see it 4 times... 2 times by myself!!! I watched the video until it died...

Yeah, any one of 'em could bite me!!! (Except maybe the creepy theater guy who was in The Crying Game... Confused )

I watched a vampire movie yesterday that was actually really good, "30 days of night". It was about this little town in Alaska where the sun didn't come out for 30 days in the winter. The perfect place for a group of vampires to strike...
The movie looked really good, and the effects were nice. And there were some really good actors, ecpesially in the smaller parts. Josh Hartnett played the hero, and he did okay, not that charismatic though. And the dialouge sounded a bit fake at times, but other than that - good movie!
I think vampires are my favourite movie monster...

I think I remember previews of that movie, Marie. Weren't those scary vampires? I much prefer sexy vampires to scary ones! I don't like the creepy ones that open their mouths to twice the size of their heads and have about 70 big giant jagged teeth rotted looking teeth...
I like the ones that dress nice, and are very charismatic, and for some reason seem to have lots of money (what do vampires DO for a living???) and have very nice teeth...just with a couple that are a little pointier than the rest... Wink

Yeah, the vampires were scary, lots of pointy teeth. But kind of charismatic in their own way, especially the leader vampire, he was cool....
But yeah, I do like those sophisticated vampires too, the more sensual ones (Antonio Banderas for one...) Oh, and Angel and Spike of course!

I saw that movie too Marie. I wasn't expecting much but it was actually pretty good. I prefer good old fashioned ghost stories but you don't see many of those these days.
Oh, and this is cool, I can watch dvd's at work when I'm not busy. I've been watching Obidiah lately. I think he's pretty. Rolling Eyes

vampire movies are good, but I also agree that the more sensual vampires are better. I think it's also a bit more disturbing as well, the idea that such monsters can be attractive. The phrase 'blood-lust' comes to mind. Have any of you seen Bram Stoker's Dracula with Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman? That was a very weird film, but I think I need to watch it again, it was on tv very late and I was rather tired!

I've seen it, not very recently though. But I liked it, it looked really good. But I didn't like Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, they were just wrong for those parts.
But Gary Oldman was really good.
I want Alan to play a vampire...

With Alan's voice, he would be a perfect vampire (as long as he didn't do a fake accent--just his natural voice) it's so seductive as it is. I think he would be a dangerous vampire, no one would be able to resist.

Gary Oldman's Dracula - yeah - Coppola must have gone mad with these rehearsals.

That vampires could be sexy I found out watching The Interview with a Vampire. I found Tom Cruise with his blond dye rather fetching. The Queen of the Damned was rubbish though.

yes, alan as a vampire..............................I don't think I need to continue really, I'm sure that is all that is required for daydreams. It would have to be a very good vampire film for him to do it.

Haha it's so true. I have to keep it quiet here. My housemates were asking my boyfriend how he feels about my Alan addiction. He said he doesn't care. I was like "It isn't that bad..." and they were like "what site are you on right now?"... It was Rickman forum haha. Guilty as charged.
