I remember when I was about 16, my friends came out of History class saying they had watched Rasputin. One of my friends got constantly teased that she fancied him. At the time I had no idea Alan was in the film, otherwise I would have said something lol. _________________ :.*My Flavour Of Choice? Alan. Of The Rickman Variety*.: |

Any favourite quotes from the movie? I've only seen a dubbed version, so I'd love to hear some original quotes. The imdb has only very few:
Grigori Rasputin: You'll always fail because your soul is dead.
Dr. Botkin: I have performed many autopsies in my time, but I've never located a soul.
Grigori Rasputin: How many memories or emotions have you found?
Grigori Rasputin: Before we can repent, we have to sin.
Grigori Rasputin: The sea brings comfort, and the waves they talk. The sunshines on the water as it gently rises. You can see the face of God when you look at the sun. Your soul forgets everything as you wake from the dreams of life's worries. For the joy lifts your heart, and your soul sees the wisdom of life, and beauty. Indescribable beauty. Is the pain gone?
Alexei: Yes.
Grigori Rasputin: You kiss me, you kiss God. You lie with me, you lie with him.
Grigori Rasputin: A morsel of bread is more precious to man than a mountain of diamonds and gold, amen. _________________

AAhhhh!!!!(scream of frustration) I haven't got this film yet either, and I so want to watch it!! *deep sigh*....I'll have to keep looking.
Not sure about the beard yet....I'll have to watch it in full snogging motion to really appreciate, I think!!! _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

Watched it now...don't like the straggly beard (I do like a tidy "Hans" beard...not totally averse to them)
My fave quote is "when you kiss me, kiss with your heart and your soul, as well as your mouth"
I think that's right...I'll have to check tomorrow and amend it probably, but that's quite close.
He's very emotional in this though, isn't he? Great story too. _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.
