Jackie, Mr. Tennant's hair looks just as rakishly disheveldly wonderful as always!! I think you are WONDERFUL at hair. Whenever I try to draw hair it always looks ropey. That's why I prefer to draw peaches and planets... _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

I wasn't sure if I was going to post this or not, cause this has given me more grief than any other picture I've EVER drawn....I'll let you decide if it was worth it.
Edited....Any better? _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

That is amazing. Especially his hand. Such detail! Any chance we can see the photo that this was drawn from? I'm assuming the trouble you had was with the weird light shining on him? He is clearly standing by a window, how awkward of him! Very good indeed though |

Jackie--I really like this pic for the most part, his face is perfect (!) and I love the expression, his eyes are wonderful.
I think the shadow under his chin is bothering me a little, tho. Like maybe it goes back too far onto his neck or something. or is too dark...
not sure exactly...
hope you don't mind me saying (I feel silly critiquing, when I have zero talent and you are so good!) _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

Good observation Nora......I reduced it slightly, and darkened the surrounding areas....you had a perfectly valid point...so, thanks!!
Like I've said to Magenta before, sometimes I'm so close to a picture I can't see it properly (does that make sense?)...so another pair of eyes is very useful
P.s Nora.....I'm still going to fix the picture of Michael....just haven't got around to it...I'll do that next!! _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

That one was absolutely fantastic Jackie, and this is coming from someone who finds Gary Oldman just yucky (sorry to any of his fans esp. Magenta... he's just not my pint of ale)...
But our Jackie has made him attractive... Lovely job! _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

Dear Steph! You probably won't believe me, but about 10 weeks ago I thought Gary Oldman is just yucky. I did not understand how some people could feel so attracted to him. Especially those very beautiful women he was was with or if you have seen him only in his stranger parts. I don't know what hit me, but I have fallen victim to the Old Black Magic.
I have learnt the hard way that repessing these things is bad for me. So I will enjoy it as long as it lasts and if it ever ends I think I will be wondering what sort of bug that could have been. Though I have to admit that who ever got me like that is still dear to my heart. I don't want to get married to David Cassidy anymore, but his voice still warms my heart. I don't want to have Andy Garcia's babies anymore, but his voice and his face still warm my loins. Alan Rickman could still move in here any time... I am basicly a faithful person. It is just the guys who are not faithful to me.
JackSL may I quote your sketch at the garyoldman.info board? With a referance to your website of course. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

David Cassidy was my 2nd crush ever, when I was about 10...(right after Bobby Sherman!)
Is anyone else here even old enough to remember Bobby Sherman???
of course, after David C. came Donny Osmond, and that lasted until I heard Neil Diamond...and that's never gone completely away!
(Only 26 days left til I see Neil!) _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

By the way, if you want to know what a basicly rational person like me could get silly over Gary Oldman... Rent out Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. The 2 Disc version, as the final straw was that interview on Disc two. If you just like good cinema, watch the film. It is worth it and exactly my favourite kind of yucky. Though I have to warn you, you might end up linking Gary Oldman.
This is no effort to mission you. Just a suggestion like I suggest books or music or films. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |
