Hi everyone,
what can I tell you about myself?
I'm 29, from Germany, I'm a teacher.
Ok, I had watched "Robin Hood", "Sense and Sensibility", "Dogma", "Harry Potter", "Love Actually", and I went to see "Perfume" because it has been one of my favourite books since my boyfriend had to read it in school and abandoned it after 30 pages. I had spammed my yahoo group with pictures of the Berlinale premiere of "Snow Cake", the album was twice the size of the other albums. While I didn't read any other Harry Potter fanfic, I checked two Snape archives for updates on a daily basis. But still, my friends realized that I was a fan long before I did. So I'm still new to the fandom, probably less well-informed than most of you, but I already feel a bit at home here. Looking forward to 'meeting' you all!
If you absolutely want to know more about me, check out my post in the "Really getting to know you" thread in "Real Life". _________________

Hi Magenta,
nice to meet you too!
It's really strange, I can argue with my (girl)friends about most actors, we usually have very different preferences, but they all like Alan. _________________

@lupinsmoon: English. Love my job most of the time, unless there is a native speaker of English or a bilingual in the class - it sucks when you're the teacher and you have a student who always knows when you make a mistake, LOL. Are you a teacher, too? _________________

I'm still a trainee at secondary school and will join the ranks of the "real" (and better paid) teachers after one more year of training. My subjects are English and Religious Education.
I can perfectly understand your feelings towards native speakers in your courses - I feel the same everytime exchange students join my lessons..
Anyway, welcome to the forums! _________________ ... from the corpses flowers grow ....

Another English teacher - why am I not surprised?
Do you know Marcus Orths' satire "Lehrerzimmer" (staff room)? Hope it's not that bad at your school! My aunt teaches maths in secondary school, and I did recognize some of the situations from the book from her stories. _________________
