Somehow I can't imagine Colonel Brandon being into bondage (although you just never quite know about people, do you?? Twisted Evil )
now George or Snape...that's a whole different story!
as far as reviews, I think you know that you already have us all hooked!
I give it 5 thumbs up!! (I keep coming back to check for the next installment...you don't have an outside life do you? Wink )

George is the Sheriff of Nottingham (at least that was his name in the movie)

Well, actually.... It would be kind of fun if the Colonel really turned out to be all hardcore and into bondage.... I know I'd go for it... I mean my character, not me in real life... unless the right person asked (Alan!)
It would be cool if the Colonel is all into that, and the Sheriff or Snape really is a gentle and tender man in the bedroom.
Well, Eustacia, I'm open to anything! Twisted Evil

And I have seriously not been this into a story since... well, forever!
I keep checking every five minute just to see if the next chapter is up!
You really should be a writer full time!

Every five minutes might be slightly exaggerated. I probably won't get to write anything new before Sunday. My job is keeping me busy, and today our washing machine decided to go the way of all metal Rolling Eyes

Thanks, Marie, also for your patience. I always wanted to be a full time writer as a teenager, but it's a tough business, as tough as being an actress or a singer or any other kind of artist. Celebrated today, gone tomorrow, kind of an unsteady life. I would need a lot more time for my original work than I need for fanfic, where I just have to borrow a ready-made inventory of characters. But I'll let you know first if I ever write a best-selling novel Wink
Back to the bondage, er, I mean, the story. I can imagine Snape having both sides in him, rough and gentle, but not the Sheriff. George would only be all charms if it suited his needs, if he thought he could profit from it. Other than that, I see him as an egomaniac; he is all about power. Being a great lover gives him some kind of power, I guess, it would flatter his ego to have a woman scream his name in certain moments so a whole castle can hear what a stud he is. I imagine he could make an effort for that reason, especially with a woman who is his equal or superior in intelligence and social rank, because it gives him power over her, but otherwise, with the random servant girl, I suppose he's only interested in his own pleasure.
Brandon is difficult to see through. Austen wrote during Romanticism, but many of her creations sound Victorian. The heroes and heroines who live up to the ideals of the Romantic movement (such as Marianne, or Lizzy's younger sister in P&P) are punished in her novels. The Victorian man wants his wife to be the angel on the outside, and is really looking for a mistress to play the vixen in the bedroom. Then again, the Brandon from the movie is not strictly Victorian because we know about his feelings as soon as he sets eyes on Marianne, which a Victorian gentleman would have tried to hide very well. See Mr Darcy in P&P. So you never know...

Yeah, being a full time writer must be very hard, and I guess that there are just the lucky few who can really live off their writing.
My dream is to be a singer full time, but for now I have to settle with being a part time singer and part time receptionist... But I don't really mind that, since I really like my day-job!
And yes, we wan't to be the firsts to know when you write your best-selling novel!

Now, with the whole bondage-discussion, I look forward to see what happens even more! I'm gonna take a walk in the sunshine and try and think of something else... Laughing

I'm working on the fourth chapter, but I'm not satisfied with my draft yet, so I'll have to ask you for a bit of patience.

I have been writing all the time since I was a kid, I started out on my mother's old typewriter.
I have a short story that was published in an anthology, but it's in German. I have also written a novel (in German), which is unpublished and still on an early revision stage.
I have a Buffy fanfic site (http://www.buffythevampirelayer.com/) which is in English, including a sorry attempt at a Buffy/Harry Potter crossover that I started after OoP. But it simply didn't work for me any more when JKR published Book 6, which is why I never finished that one. However, there are lots of complete fics at my site, and some of them are good Wink
And of course I'm writing for my Harry Potter role-play group (see my profile).
