Hello again!!!

We wrapped on Thursday and have spent every day since recovering from the Wrap Party-the Germans really know how to do it in style!! There were Lederhosen everywhere...but I don't think any of the chaps in em were actually Bavarian but...oh well!!

Anyway, we start shooting again on the 14th...we haven't got a script yet but someone must have and it's supposed to be something about boats...

For the first seven days we'll be shooting at Mamhead House-the owners of which I happen to be fairly close to. The guy's name is Alan (easy to remember) and he was one of the original investors in the company Vodaphone-he is now retired and has a magnificent collection of cars, one of which is a rather special Maserati of which there are only 4 of in the whole country-it's NIIIIICE!!
The house itself is HUGE-I stayed for a few days last week because we had a house inspection and my parrot isn't supposed to live with us. Anyway, inside it's very Hogwartian (I swear the staircases move!!) and there are loads of light switches which don't do what you want them to-long story!

We're using this location for several different locations in the story so I have a feeling LOTS of different artificial arangements will be called for to obscure the beautiful view and make it look different!!

Oh and Alan has both a castle (well, a folly) and a church in his garden!! And an outdoor chamber full of Guinea Pigs!!! And a white peacock called Honey =P

And seeing as I will probably never see the last film once it's edited etc, could one of you German viewers maybe watch and see if the flowers do look as bad as they did in real life??! I'm just curious!!
And also look out for my 2nd cousin-he got a small speaking role as "Fred" a chap hired to poison Windstorm (the horse that's actually a girl when it shouldn't be-blame the poxy Art Director!) and then proceeds to be beaten up by a teeny tiny Irish jocky-it was even funnier in life!!
Anyway, Monika was very impressed by his acting skills considering it was his first speaking part in 14 years!

Anyway, I'm still sorting pictures out-they looked fine on the camera but came out all fuzzy on the computer, damn it!!

I swear nobody wears Lederhosen here. Not even the Bavarians, not unless they celebrate some Oktoberfest.

Are you able to give a title or the title of the story that the film was made after? I would record it for you. Maybe it is shown in bi-canal. Then it could be recorded in English. Oh my god I am going to record a Rosamunde Pilcher film...

This is a more disgusting sight than shorts and socks in sandals.

When I was growing up, my next-door-neighbor (an adult man with the nickname of "Brownie") used to wear Bermuda shorts, black socks, sandals, and a white T-shirt with red suspenders, all summer long! NOT sexy!! (He was my BF's grandfather, so I had to deal with it, LOL!)

I have decided to watch those films, or at least let the TV run and maybe do some houshold chores along. I think I should support your employer to give you more work that you like if I have a chance to do so.

aww that's sweet of you!!
Last year's the last year of Pilcher films-they've finally run out of stories!!!! Laughing

I don't think my plates are gonna be shown-the plan was to use transfers which look terrible but they hadn't arrived the day they were really needed so I was just doing the art department a favour! The Director was not happy and Haydn has actually quit shooting this film due to some bad history with the man-I won't go into it cuz it's pretty heavy stuff but we may be back for the 4th film...
Having said that, he got offered a feature film that's just started being shot in Berlin this week-he may fly over on Thursday and if I can't find a college over here I shall also move!! (My German's getting pretty fluent now *is proud*)

Thanks again Magenta!!! Very Happy
