Has anyone of you read it? I thought it was interesting, but I think Miss Paton writes such stupid things. What I thought was the weirdest thing is this sentence "Alan and ... are brothers and sisters in socialism".
How can someone come up with this rubbish? It sounds like a religion.
I can really understand why Alan didn't want it to be written in the first place.
Anyway, what do you think about it?

I confess I've never read the whole book ( all in english D: ) but I enjoyed the parts I read - in fact, I mostly read the stuff about his movies, not his private life.

But he hates this book, doesn't he ? I think I've already heard that...

I've never read it. I doubt I will after reading what Alan's said about it.

I've read it. My former boss, knowing my Alan-love, got it for me as a present and then expected a book report. Best to know thy enemy, right? So I read it. All the "juiciest" tidbits were complete speculation or facts well known by Rickmaniacs. I never re-read it, and there were very boring parts with complete tangents about other people in the entertainment biz.

On one hand, if Alan hates it, we shouldn't propagate it. On the other, know thy enemy. Understand for yourself why it's crap. How many people still say HP is evil, even without having read it?

Just my two cents.

I've never read the whole thing. But I have seen at the library and read the jacket cover and a page or two. I read from a fan that they bought the book in hopes of AR signing it, but Alan refused saying that the entire book was a complete lie and unauthorized.
This is where I read the story. Anyway, ...

At first I wanted to buy the book, but I heard the same, that Alan was not very happy about the book and there were so many lies...so I am not interested in it anymore.
