I bought Mesmer some wile ago, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't watch it yet...
Don't have the time! I also have in my "movies to see" list the special edition of Die hard, Romeo & Juliet and the second half of Closet land...
Yes, I know, I don't deserve to be called a Rickmaniac...
You see, I'm a hard Harry Potter fan and I've only seen OotP once...

You need to focus...and set aside some serious Alan time!!!
HP is great, but he doesn't have enough screen time...I love Closet Land...disturbing, but lots of Alan!! _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

My collection is increasing slowly. I must admit to watching some of the less widely-available ones on youtube because I'm a poor student and impatient to have viewed his whole collection. I have just ordered Mesmer from www.dvd.co.uk for £2.95. The moment I get a job, I will also be ordering Snowcake from the same website (I still haven't seen it yet-shocking!)
I'm really excited about seeing yet another Alan Rickman film that I haven't seen before, working through his back-catalogue has certainly been a rollercoaster ride |

I much prefer Snowcake to Mesmer....Snowcake to alot of other films (Alan or not)
But, Alan looks wonderful in Mesmer--his hair is all soft and flow-y, and some of the things he does with his hands....wow.
and some faces he makes! _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

I think Snowcake is one of the best movies ever made... it was excellent. Sigourney Weaver was phenomenal! _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

Ditto to that...Snowcake is a COMPLETE film in my eyes....no weak points anywhere. Mesmer, although Alan is great and incredibly sexy, is lacking in quite a few areas. I find it disjointed to watch, and a bit unfullfilling....the sound isn't good either! _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

but, it's still an Alan movie, and you still should see it, and even own it. so not a bad choice, just not the order I would have picked them in.
with Alan, there are no bad choices! _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

| well I have looked for it before, and not found it, but on this website it's in the clearance and I felt that made it slightly more urgent. Snowcake is easily available, so that's why I chose them in that order! Otherwise I would have gotten Snowcake first because I love Sigourney Weaver and I have heard her performance is brilliant. Not sure how I feel about the relationship with Carrie Ann Moss though. I was less disturbed by Judge Turpin wanting Joanna. It's not because I don't like her, but I can't get away from the image of her as Trinity, which just makes it a bit odd. It might be great in the context of the film though, so I will reserve judgement. |

This is slightly on-topic, off topic... but has anyone here ever had issues with Amazon? I haven't ordered from them before, but recently ordered my son's sonic screwdriver and my "Dr. in My Pocket" keychain (it's more innocent than it sounds), as well as two movies. I got the screwdriver and keychain a week ago, and then I got an apology email that basically said they had forgotten to ship my movies but that they had been shipped, and I would be getting a tracking number. Well, I never got the tracking number email and the shipment hasn't come yet. Am I being impatient?? I haven't used Amazon before so I don't know if this is par for the course or not...
Thx!

That's interesting because I use Amazon all the time but my last order seems to have gone missing. I'm waiting for three movies. They are never more than three weeks at the latest and in fact they usually come within 9 days depending on where they are being shipped from. I'm on the hunt for them now. _________________

I use Amazon quite often, and even ordered from Amazon.uk a few weeks ago, and I've never had any problems.
my orders usually get here a day or so sooner than the estimate.
In fact, the one from the UK got here faster than some things shipped from here in the States! _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

Hmm, Semp... How do yours come? I had initially thought maybe there was a bag of goodies lying around somewhere in NY, but my orders are being sent via the USPS... Would yours come US post and then go to Canada from there? Or do you have a different shipper?
