Well, a couple of people have asked me about my icon, so as its music themed I'll explain here !!!
This is Steve Priest, at his prime !! as Bassist with 'The Sweet' playing his fav bass the Rickenbacker (the rolls royce of bass guitars). He now lives and works in Los Angeles, producing, writing and still playing bass.
He is currently producing a cd with Mikeal Kirke, he has also written some of the tracks and plays bass on some too.
He is often to be found on the ' Sweet Forum' when he is not busy, answering questions from his fans (including myself) and generally joining in with all the Sweet fun!! (we are so lucky to have him there). Do you think we could persuade Alan to join us here too ???
Well, when I start, I dont stop where Steve's concerned so I better stop there !!
I know its terrible of me to be unfaithful to Alan
Lorraine
If you want to see Steve (and the Sweet ) at his utmost best take a look here (hes the one on the right ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gwk91j0vGAQ _________________ We could hear the sounds of the celestial spheres if only we strained to listen |

I was just about to say I love it loud too haha. I love Rammstein as well.
PS: I really love that pic of Alan in your avatar. He's smoking there. I love him in glasses.
Anyways, my musical tastes are extreamly wide.
Genres are: Punk (old stuff, not really any of the new pop punk coming out now. Though some of it isn't too bad.) Hiphop/rap/RnB, folk music, old 80's tunes (I'm 33 it's nostalgical.) Experimental, trance, triphop, industrial, metal but very picky. I also like classical music. I'm a Dj and mix music and love mixing classical pieces of music in with other trance/hip hop music. Though some classical enthusists here would possibly think I'm butchering the music...sorry
My favorite artists out of all genres would have to be Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits and Patti Smith. |

I really love all different kinds of music, but here are some favorites:
Duran Duran- especially Rio and Seven and the Ragged Tiger
Peter Gabriel
Sting
Billy Idol
John Waite
Jack Johnson
Norah Jones
Tchaikovsky
The only genre of music I'm not really into is country... To each his own, though. _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

My friends always laugh at me cause there's only a very small handful of singers that I actually like and I don't listen to the radio. My favorites are Josh Groban, Enya, Sting, Kylie Minogue, Lucia Micarelli... and that's about it LOL _________________ ~*~ Beth ~*~ |

Oh, I forgot Enya! I just love her. Before I worked as a journalist, I worked as a teacher, and I always played Enya at quiet time. Her voice really seemed to soothe the "savage beasts",
I also forgot The Cranberries... love them too. _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

I love Enya myself. Her music is wonderful to just loose yourself in.
Her and this band called Dead Can Dance are great atmopheric music to just put on a great pair of headphones after a long day and close your eyes and drift away to. Very calming. |

My family is Irish and I was born at just the right time that Enya's first album came out in Ireland when I was barely a year old and Dad was visiting relatives there LOL He came back to the States and every night since then, I play the first album (now called The Celts) when I sleep...
Then I became a teacher and did the same thing you did though I played it at naptime. _________________ ~*~ Beth ~*~ |

I love the Cranberries too, especially Zombie. I pretty much only listen to a mix of indie and rock. Though I am partial to a bit of jazz and 80's electro pop... Gary Numan - Car's...
Have any of you heard Adam Leonard's - Not Alan Rickman....? It's great, put's a smile on my face every morning. I recommend you download it. I think it's on one of AR fan vid's on youtube, i can't remember the exact one though.. _________________ He's like a bottle of good wine, a little older than the others but so delicious |

I apologize for the double post but as I just mentioned on another thread...I lean heavily to the heavy. I like:
Kiss
Tool
Type O Negative
Nine Inch Nails
Marilyn Manson
Ozzy
White/Rob Zombie
Zakk Wylde
Lacuna coil
Kamelot
Vast
I also like Trance music and female singers like Tori Amos, Adrienne Arno(the Alan Rickman song singer), Emm Gryner etc.
Hope I haven't scared anyone.
