It's not totally about Alan ( Crying or Very sad ) but you have to admit, Colonel Brandon is one of his best characters.
and let's not forget dear Jamie....

BTW, I'm going to stop posting now, and let someone else (Jackie) catch up with me, cause I don't want to be the 1st person to reach 1000 posts, it's a little embarrasing....

LOL Go for it Nora!!! Cool

Awww, c'mon now Nora! You are the posting queen and we love you for it! And your posts are always good, funny, interesting, informative, etc.!! Only three more to go and we'll crown you! I think we just have such a good time here together that we all can't help but "post it up"!!

I was lurking around at a David Tennant forum the other day and it just made me sad. There were hardly any posts and there were entire threads that just consisted of a long string of... "Did u c the new pic of DT? It made me SQUEE!!"... "Ur rite, it is so SQUEE!" ... "Oh DT... ur a q t!!"

And I realized that I'm where I need to be right here on the Rickman forum, with people who can write complete sentences. There were actually 10 year olds there!! I know we have a couple of teens (Meredith, Sparrington) here but they are SO BRIGHT!! Rickman Divas are just a whole other breed entirely, apparently!

I really need to post more - you guys are so dedicated. I'm here pretty much everyday, but sometimes I just like to observe the conversation and stay up to date with goings-on.

Go Nora and Jackie!

Yes, Steph, I just hope English will never be taught like that. All my hard work to acquire some working knowledge will be down the drain if that is going to be what is coming for your beautiful language.

THAT is not English!!! I couldn't even work out what it was supposed to say, at first!!! That is appalling!!! I'm ashamed that an English speaking person has written that!!

You would be surprised...I get emails from co-workers all the time that lack punctuation, capitalization at the beginning of sentences, and are rife with abbreviations like u r (you are), c u 2maro (see you tomorrow), etc. And I just want to write back corrections in bright red. But unfortunately some of these emails don't come from people on the same "rung" of the ladder as me - they come from the higher ups!! The saddest part is that I work for a newspaper!!

So the requirements for a good man go up to count five now?

A rock of devotion
an intellectual companion
a sexual delight
a loving father
and
literate enough to write a loveletter

Didn't someone tell me I would be more forgiving when I grow older...

I think we get more demanding, in some ways........we've been there, done that, made mistakes, WON'T make them again...the bar is BOUND to be raised!

Only one life...don't settle for less than you want!

Well this way they won't be getting 1000 postings.
Maybe the requirement of complete sentences makes it difficult.
Are we too highbrow for newbies? Or are we too in tune with each other for others to dare?

For crying out loud, it is one o'clock in the moring. I am supposed to get up in four hours.
Good night everybody.
