I just read today on mugglenet.com about someone going on the set during part of the filming of the HBP and they talked about them filming the party scene in Slughorn's office.
"Wikén witnessed a scene during a filming day. In it, the new Potions Master of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Horace Slughorn (played by the British actor Jim Broadbent, known by supporting roles in classic movies such as "Brazil and "Richard the Third"), celebrates a Christmas party in his room for a selected group of students. Slughorn walks from one group to another chatting with his guests, trying to gain his favourite students' favour."
As those of you who read the books know, I believe there is a bit of Snape in this segment..but that's if they stay true to the books. Exciting.
Here is the link if you would like to read more.

Yeah, lets just hope they don't cut it out though! We must have only had 5 minutes of Snape time in the 5th film, there should be far more in the 6th. . .if they stick to the story. It seems unlikely that they will if they are going to cut Fleur out and add a whole new scene that isn't even in the books!
Lets hope it isn't as bad as it sounds. . . |

Alan was filming for seven weeks! One week gives about 10 minutes of film. 70 minutes of Alan, even if they throw out half of it, there will still be 35 minutes... For a Harry Potter that is a lot fo Snape, even if it is the Half Blood Prince. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

That's one of my favorites scenes in the book, when Slughorn tells Harry his mother and Snape were his best pupils (not for all the SPOILER whole Sev/Lyly affaire, I still don't like that part of the books), and Harry is halfway to become better that Snape himself! I admit that when I read that page, I was mentally picturing Alan throwing Harry daggers with his eyes! _________________

I was devastated when I found out about Dame Maggie Smith, although it seems they caught it early, so fingers crossed she'll be out of the woods soon. I was shocked that it wasn't reported on BBC news though. In fact, it didn't seem to be main news anywhere except mugglenet. They were all too bothered about Paul McCartney and Heather Mills splitting up.
Maggie Smith is an awesome actress though and I really hope she gets better soon! |

That's just lousy that people would rather hear about the Heather Mills/Paul McCartney dirt than learn about the struggle of one of the greatest actresses ever. How unfortunate! I just love Dame Maggie Smith, and I hope for the best for her prognosis and recovery. Does anyone know if there is anyplace we could send well wishes along to her? _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |
