No one has made a topic on dear Hans!
I Alan as Hans! He was such an amazing character!
Favorite quotes:

Holly: After all your posturing, all your speeches, you're nothing but a common thief.
Hans Gruber: I am an exceptional thief, Mrs. McClane. And since I'm moving up to kidnapping, you should be more polite

John McClane: You would have made a pretty good cowboy yourself, Hans.
Hans Gruber: Oh, yes. What was it you said to me before? "Yippie-ki-yay, motherfucka."

ROFL I love that last one of yours.

I also loved the part when Hans and 'Cowboy' are up on the roof John hands Hans the gun.. and after John turn around, Hans points the handgun at the back of John's head and then tires to fire it... I about came out of the chair laughing at Alan's face on that part! Laughing

There are some very memorable moments in that film. His dry humour comes through so well and he looks ssssooooo handsome!!
Def one of my fav characters. The other Die Hard films pale in comparison beside this one.

Yepp, Hans is a hottie! The expression on his face when he falls of the building at the end is just so great! I mean, it´s very sad that he falls (boring Bruce Willis has nothing on Alan!), but still, just in that short moment you can really see what a great actor Alan is!

That's because he was surprised at falling! This is from IMDB:
"For the shot where Hans Gruber falls from the top of the building, Alan Rickman was actually falling from a 20-foot high model. He was holding on to a stunt man and falling on to an air bag. To get the right reaction, the stunt man dropped Rickman on the count of two, not three." Poor Alan!

Oh, that's horrible! I guess it was a smart thing to do in order to get the right kind of effect for the shot, but jeez! Poor guy! I would have been really peeved at that stunt man if I were Alan!

Have you ladies seen Alan at the Bruce Willis tribute thing a few years back? I know it's on Brits and Clips... I about came out of the chair laughing! Alan has such a great sense of humor (or at least, the script people have a great sense of humor LOL)

I was watching Die Hard the other day and my Mom (who isn't wild about the fact that I think our 61 y/o Alan is way too damn hot when I'm 22 and got out of a VERY bad realtionship with a guy 21 years older than me) came out and it was on one of the scenes where Alan was smiling in the movie and she asked me who that was (LOL)... I told her Alan and she goes "Damn, he was a good looking guy when he was younger!".... I bit back my comment about that he's a good looking guy now LOL

"It's a miracal!"

And Dungeon_butterfly I know how you mean about your mom.. Butmy mother is a bit more weirded out because her 15 year old is in love with Alan... X3

I havn't even watched the other Die Hards. Everyone says they are good. "But I know one MAJOR reason why the first one is my favorite" is what I tell them. Wink

Thats so mean! But it sure worked, cause his reaction is great, I have to admit... Hope that Alan wasn´t too upset about it!
My mother is an Alan-fan too, she even went to see the last Harry Potter-movie, just because she wanted to see Alan! She was not too found of his Snape-outfit, though, she preferres him "normal", as she put it. And she hates action-films, but she has seen the first Die hard, just because Alans in it! He really appeals to women of all ages! Very Happy

Yes, and it was the last scene they filmed with him. They would still have had a movie if they had killed him this way. (Alan said that!)
