Chapter 3:

Dreams Bring, Curiosity

Hermione awoke in a confused manner. She turned her face, back and forth, searching for everything, for her recognition. Realizing, that she is in white covers, instead of her blue, with pink, she was in the hospital wing. Hermione looked to the nurse office, but turned to see the nurse coming from the opposite direction. The clicking of the heels brought her hands to her ears. Her face was a pale color, with bright red cheeks. Noticing, the nurse walked to her cabinet door, and pulled out a bottle of green, walking back to Hermione, she opened the bottle.

“Now, I give you fair warning, you can take this with no struggle, or go back to class, with pain.” Hermione blinked. “So what is it going to be?’ The Nurse asked.

“Well, first or all, what is the matter with me, and secondly, how did I get here.” She said looking around the room.

“Ah, yes, you don’t remember,” The nurse said with a smile. “Well, Mr.-Professor Snape, brought you in, after breakfast,” Thought a second. “Yes, that’s it, and you had a concession, dear. You may not feel, the pain, now, but you will, most defiantly.”

“Pro-Pro-Professor Snape brought me in?” The nurse nodded. “Why, would he even-care about-, anyway, what did he say?” Hermione asked in a curious way. As to why would the Professor even care, ‘I mean, I would have thought that, he would have left me? Maybe with a note: Have a detention! But took me to the hospital??’ Hermione was deep in thought, but after.

“Well, he said that, you had run into him, very fast. He said you, were out cold, then he left, but I think he mumbled something,” She shrugged her arms. “I think” She signed

“Back to your medicine.” The Nurse said.

“Well, ho-, how bad is it,” Trying to smell it, tasting its odor, it made her gage. “Um…How much pain, did you say?” Bringing her hand, to her nose

“Here,” The nurse remove Hermione’s hand, and remove placed it with her own, making her gasp for oxygen with her mouth. “Sorry, dear, open!” Hermione did, and she shoved the spoon of green glop, into her mouth. “Sallow!” She did, gagging in the process. Having a hard time, the nurse removed her hand, to hand her a glass of water. “There you are, now, I want you to stay in bed, for two days or so.

“Two Days! But my finals are in a few days!” She yells, effetely fast. “I-I Have to study, I-I.” She was confused, tired…

“Now, Miss, Granger, slow down, you will be fine. I got an announcement, from headmaster, finals with be moved to next mouth, for some godly reason.” She pleaded.

Hermione let out a breath. Just now Ron and Harry came through the doors. “Now, if you will excuse me, Miss. Granger.” Looking to the boys coming, and then walking away.

“Moine??” Ron yelled a cross the room. Hermione yawned.

“Moine?? Are you awake?” Harry said at the same time. They both gathered at the one side of her bed.

“Hermione?”

“Are you all right.”

“Of course, I am, I’m just, really r-e-a-l-l-y,” she yawned. “Tired,” Her words began to slow down. It took notice to the nurse. She closed her eyes, for a second and reopened them to see the nurse pushing them out, of the door. She closed her eyes, and didn’t open them again.

“Okay, boys,” Looking at them. “I’m afraid, that Miss Granger has taken sleep medicine and will be out for a bit, so if you could all of her homework, today, that would be greatly appreciated.” The nurse pleaded, scooting the boys out. “She needs her rest, now please get out!” The door slammed behind her.

At the beginning of Potion Class, Snape noticed, Know-IT-All-Granger was not in her seat. ‘This is the first time.’ He thought. Smiling to himself, it brought attention to him. The girls all cheered. To see his smile, with his new look, it was like, a dream come true, well it was a dream come true, to even see him smile.

“Shut up, all of you!” He snapped. Everyone went quiet. He was the same-old-Snape. “Now, please open your books to page seven hundred and seventeen.” Everyone did so, “Now,” He finally got to ask his question, without anyone to raise their hands. “Does anyone know about Redrazen” (A made-up potion! That I made up!) Seeing no hands raise he smiled, “Good!” Finally, he had a chance to teach a potion, without anymore knowing anything about it. Forgetting about his smile, the girls screamed.

“Woo….Owe!”

“You have a sexy smile, just like your body!” She giggled.

“Owe, Owe”

“Oyo!” (Whistles)

“I do enjoy your enthusiasm, but” Pause “Please!” Pause “Shut!” Pause “Up! And keep it to yourself.” He announced.

“Anything for you, Professor Snape .” One of the girls called out in a sexy tone. Snape cleared his throat in embarrassment.

“Now,” Walks to the black board. “Redrazen is a special potion to……” Class ended, with the bell. Of that class, the last words spoken was “I want you” All this attention was scaring him on the inside of course. He sat on the end of his desk. Just thinking, until the bell brought, re-brought him back. He had no other classes until after lunch.

Signing, he remembered Hermione. That girl was-a- he doesn’t know how to describe her. He decided to go check on her. As the halls were all empty, he has no trouble to get there. He walked in, seeing the nurse attending to her. Hermione was sleeping, but with a smug smile on her expression.

“Well, isn’t it ‘Sexy Snape’,” She called to him. He gritted his teeth, and staring her down. “Don’t look at me; it was Hermione who brought it up.” She said. He looked to Hermione; still she had on a smuggy smile, then to the nurse.

“Excuse me?” He questioned curiously.

“Well, about an hour, after I had given her, her sleeping medicine. I came back into here.” Lifts up her arms, as to where ‘here’ is. (Here refers to hospital wing.) “As to what I could here, she was mumbling, but when I got closer, she was- talking in her sleep.” She answered.

“And?” He questioned?

“Now, that’s personal, Mr.-Professor Snape.”

“Of course,” He tried to say this in the kindness way, he possible could. “Now, I may, ask is to why, would you tell me that she,” Pointing to Hermione. “Called me “Sexy Snape?”

Now, lifting his eyebrow, in the silent, he continues. “So, please explain to me how that’s not personal?” She still sat in silent. She huffed. (That part is a little confusing, sorry.)

“You know you-you can be s-so rude!” She exclaimed, and stood, and walked out the door. Snape’s eyes following her all the way out, but turned to Hermione. She began to twist and turn, and started to mumble things. He leaned in closer, to hear:

“Professor Sn-Sn-Snape? I think that-that you are…” There was a pause. Snape leaned back, when the nurse came back.

“Why are you still here?”

“Well, I wouldn’t want her to be alone, now would we?” He saw her expression, as you-better-get-out-of-here-before-I-knock-you-one! He rolled his eyes, and walked to the door.

“What in hell, am I to her?!” He questioned as a whisper. He took one more look, before he disappeared behind the doors.
