I know I have lists. This is my top 5:
5. Something in Phantom of the Opera. Either of the opera directors would have sufficed.
4. Shanghai Knights. Evil villain dude. Whoever that was did a great job, but Alan could have totally kicked butt on the whole fencing-in-big-ben scene.
3. Something in The Tudors (he wasn't, was he? He should have been.)
2. Ditto to "Rome," because everyone knows that Alan could have rocked the toga like none other
and finally...
1. Sherlock Holmes. Beekeeper's Apprentice? Totally need him for Holmes.
Leave the lists here |

| Even though I love John Malchovich in this role I would have also loved to see Rickman play Valmont in the movie. I need to find video or something of his whole performance on stage. |

I think Alan could have played Jamie Frazer from Diana Gabaldons books and I think he should play Nathan the Wise _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

Has Alan ever played a cop? One in an honest cops and robbers film? I would like to see him do that.
With this idea I have been toying for ages. I really wonder why nobody made a film abotu it yet. And now I have found the leading man for it.
My favourite characters by Dick Francis are Kid Fielding and Sid Halley. Well, Sid Halley is described as being too tall (6') for a jockey. He was a steeple chace jockey before he turned into a sleuth. The Jockey Club likes to entrust him with jobs that should really be done by the police but would be preferred to be treated more discretely. Would contain many lonely wolf scenes.

yep, in Judas' kiss, he was a cop and Emma Thompson a FBI agent. Not one of his best movies, but I liked it... _________________

I watched Juda´s Kiss a while ago, and I felt kind of sorry for both Alan and Emma. They are such great actors, and the movie itself could have been good, but it was just... well, kind of boring. And the dialogue was not the best ever.
But any film of Alans ( and Emmas) if always worth watching! |

Is that the one where they both have the New Orleans accent? For a Brit, Alan does a REALLY good American accent... Emma's isn't bad though you can still hear the Brit in her (she played an American in Primary Colors) _________________ ~*~ Beth ~*~ |

I was just re-reading one of my all-time favorite classics, F. Scott Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night. I think Alan would be tremendous as Dick Diver. I know he may be a little older than the character, but he would be absolutely fabulous no matter what age! I would love to see Helena Bonham-Carter as Nicole... she does such a great job with characters who appear sane on the surface but are something else entirely... Hmmm... who can I call to get this movie made? I already want to watch it! _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

Yes, is the New Orleans one. I always enjoy seeing Alan and Emma together, so watching the movie was not a complete waste of time, and maybe with a better director or something the movie could have been really good. |

Sometimes I find myself wondering why Alan isn't in every film that has ever been made. Then I generally realise that it wouldn't actually be possible... _________________ "I get stage fright and gremlins in my head saying: you're going to forget your lines" - Alan Rickman |

I dont even know the name off the top of my head, and i am to tired to look it up but the one role he shouldnt have done at all bless his soul is the one with emma tompson and him with america hick accents and they are cops! It was terrible. Worth watching becuse alan was in it but other than that, WHAT were the people thinking???
and the one roal that was HIS and still makes me mad is
the movie part to les lesginge dangerious.. ( so sorry for the spelling , I am sick and i admit lazy! sorry!!!! They stole it from him, and he would have been brillant, look at him on stage.
I also think that they should have made a movie from the play "Private lives"!!!
thats all i can think of right now.
Night ladies!

Hehehe, we may have to remove the Intellect from LadyIntellect. At least temporarily.
Judas Kiss is the New Orleans accent and we have been talking about that in another thread on this site. It was horrible.
The stage role Vicomte Sébastien de Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses 1985-1986 was played by John Malkovich in film Dagerous Liaisons in 1998 _________________ Benalinae |
