Hope you feel better soon, LadyIntellect!
Alan would sure have been great in Dangerous Liaisons!
I don“t really like John Malcowich, not quite sure why. But he was pretty cool in Being John Malcowich, of course.
But he is nothing compared to our Alan! |

Yes I was just teasing. And I am sorry you are not feeling well. Every one has thier 'brain farts' if you don't mind the expression, from time to time. And I can't spell to save my life so please keep your Intellect and realize we only tease the ones we call friends. Or at least I do those I don't aren't worth the time.

Well, I think he wouldb be perfect to play Waleran, the bad guy of The pillars of the earth by Ken Follet.
when I think about this character, I remember the Sheriff of Nottingham. he's exactly like him!! so Alan should play this role....one day.... _________________

I have found the perfect part for Alan
either Richard Jury or Melrose Plant, both brilliant characters by Martha Grimes.
Jury is a policeman from Scotland Yard, very clever, always held down by a very silly superiour officer.
Plant is Jury's best friend who usually does the not so very legal stuff. He is a Lord who gave up his title but not the fortune.
Well, I still would like to see Alan play a proper policeman, but now I think he should be playing Melrose Plant, that would be the far more interesting scenes. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

Hmmm I was thinking about this randomly last night and came to the conclusion that Alan would make a GREAT Vampire...witha sort of "Gruber-esque" accent...*holds that thought*
And as someone already mentioned (indirectly) he could do a good Bond Villain... |

I love the thought of Alan as a vampire! "Oh yes, master, suck my blood..."
I watched Jekyll & Hyde, the musical, the other night and Alan would be so cool as Jekyll/Hyde! |

| wow, Alan as a vampire- that has my vote! It's a shame that a lot of films with vampires in aren't great though. The blade trilogy was quite good but the majority of vampire films seem quite tacky. an Alan vampire film would need to be a bit more classy and darker. . . |

I'm a big fan of the vamp scene. Buffy and Angel were my fave TV shows in my teens, and Interview with the Vampire and Bram Stokers Dracula were my favourite movies. I think its hard to make a really good credible vampire movie. They're usually either pretty tongue-in-cheek or horrifically bloody. I liked the first Blade but didn't see the other two. The Night Watch series are brilliant, but they are more just about the supernatural world. Stuff like Underworld and Van Helsing is a complete turn off for me.
I wonder what type Alan would be in... probably more Bram Stoker than Buffy lol. _________________ :.*My Flavour Of Choice? Alan. Of The Rickman Variety*.: |

I liked Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman, because it was Hugh Jackman
but, the vampires were way creepy.
Vampires need to be sexy and mysterious (and well dressed! ) they have to have a sensuallity that helps to attract the victim.
Christine Feehan has this series of books about Carpathians, who are people (immortals?) who feed on blood, but do not kill people, they rid the world of vamps (who are truly evil, inhuman creatures.) The Capathians are very sexy, and they have only one lifemate. They're weird books, very, very sexy and kind of bloody (OK, pretty bloody) but I've read several. They're her "Dark" series--she also has a series about psychically enhance soldiers called Ghostwalkers, the "Game" series.
Anyway, Alan as a classy, sexy, mysterious, well-dressed vampire, but not as a cheesy or creepy turning into hideous monster vampire....

There's a teen fiction 2 parter book set that I'm in love with about the life of a Puritan girl named Mary who is suspected of being a witch. The books are called Witch Child and Sorceress. Alan would be GREAT as one of the elders or even the priest... though the priest is younger.... oh well LOL _________________ ~*~ Beth ~*~ |

I think he'd be gorgeous as Marius... I'd love to see a really in-depth portrayal of that particular Anne Rice vampire and I think Alan would be fantastic in that capacity! _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

That was exactly my thought. When we were discussing Anne Rice's books I remembered Marius. Hm, Do have to read it again with Alan in mind. That should be delicious. _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

OK, going classsic here (or retro. or whatever) but Alan would be wonderful to play Maxim De Winter in Daphne Du Maurier's "Rebecca"!
I don't know why I didn't think of it before!
I first read this book when I was 12 or 13 and loved the mystery of it, and probably saw the original movie sometime as a teenager (which had Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine-wow), but then I reread it about 10 years ago, and rented the movie and still loved it!
I know they redid the movie a few years ago (I just saw it on Netflix) but it doesn't look like anyone big was in it, and I don't remember hearing anything about it...
If you've never read the book, do! It's very good, mysterious!
Alan would be perfect for that part!
Nora
In fact, I used to imagine that I would have a beautiful, old, English house and name it Manderley! really _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

| Oh, I love that one too. Good pick Nora! That's so weird because I was thinking of Alan playing 'Edward Rochester' in "Jane Eyre" and it's said that Daphne DuMaurier was inspired to write "Rebecca" by Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Erye". |
