I'm sure it will, being a smaller independent film, without the backing of a major studio, it won't play in many cinemas, and unfortunately not for long, UNLESS it does a Juno. (which I hope) then it would see widespread play.
but, in either case, it will come out on DVD for the rest of us!! Very Happy

Is there still no sign of it being screened? Argh, I thought that this one was a sure things. Why do distributors have such little consideration for Alan and his fans? Grr.

thank you, google Laughing

good grief, I didn't read well enuf in my excitement, it will also distribute Nobel Son!! I love these people!

I read that after opening in LA and San Francisco they will assess the possibility of opening elsewhere. But the good news is that once it has opened we can get it on DVD through blockbuster, netflix or at the local video stores.

That's what I'm thinking, it at least has to get distributed for us to get our hands on it. But, I would really love to see it do a great business in theaters 1st (as we all would, of course) unfortunately, if something doesn't have the backing of a major studio, like WB or MGM or Disney (who may all be the same people for all I know), it just doesn't stand much of a chance these days, which is so sad...they don't always have the best movies...all you have to do is watch Snow Cake to see that.

Very true, Nora, Snow Cake is a fantastic film, with three big name actors in it, and it still didn't get the recognition it deserved. Money behind a film is definitely how it gets to be successful. Fingers crossed for Bottle Shock and Nobel Son!!

I think we will get to see it in the major cities and on DVD. Oddbins is going to distribute it overseas, so London will definitely get it.
