It really shows a lack of research, preparedness, and professionalism on the parts of the interviewers. Not to mention the fact that it makes them look like a bunch of shallow teenagers (no offense to the teenagers on the board, you are a very intelligent group, as had been mentioned before).
You do wonder how they got their jobs, and what degrees they have, if any? _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

Thanks for posting the link, Nora, it was great to watch. Alan looks gorgeous, and I just love to see him move, usually in interviews he is already sitting down when it starts, so the little walk was nice.
And yeah, the people interviewing him sucked, for god's sake- shut up and let the man talk! Alan was a totall professional, though, I love his sort of quiet sense of humour.
And for the "There is no hope for me"- status
Didn't realise I was third on the top posters list, can't wait til I reach 1000! |

Two thousand is another year or maybe 9 months...
I am looking forward to seeing this film. Oh I mentionned that before, didn't I.
Congratulations on the "Can't be helped". I wonder when Madam came up with that. Where is she anyway?
And does anybody know what has happened to Patricia? She started this topic. Has she been banned for her slightly annoying posting habits or were we not exciting enough? I think I remember she sent an email that she could not log in... _________________ Alan Rickman('s) Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over. |

Don't know, we've been wondering (and worrying) about Madam, haven't heard from her in quite awhile, hope she is OK. Rickman-Online seems to be down. I'm sure she made that category quite awhile ago, or she would have said something when I hit it. I seem to remember discussion on what 500 would be called, maybe she did it then.
As far as Patricia....who knows??? _________________ ~~~Nora~~~

It really bothers me when I read Q&A interviews with Alan and I see these questions:
1) [This particular character] is quite the departure for you since you usually play the villain. What was it like playing a character so far outside your area of expertise (or something like that, you know what I mean)...
WHAT??? When I see this question (and I've seen it a lot!) I just want to curse... first of all it's not accurate; second of all a little trip over to IMDb would give the interviewer a quick lesson in Alan's body of work, and they would see what a varied actor he really is.
2) Professor Snape is one of the more popular roles you've played. What's it like acting with Dan Radcliffe?
Oh My God... Shut up!! I can't even imagine pulling something like that!! Those reporters might as well just say thanks very much for granting me an interview, but I'd rather be talking to Harry, so tell me, what's he like???
In truth, sometimes reporters are asked to interview people they know little about... it has definitely happened to me! But in those cases, I do a little thing called RESEARCH and find out some background info on my subject!
It is sheer torture that I am a journalist and have to read these lousy interviews/stories on Alan. It just makes me !! _________________ I want to swim in both directions at once. Desire success, court failure. ~ Alan Rickman |

I gave up after I heard the comment about the Welsh and Actors(?)
The Welsh are predominantly known for their singing, like Alan said!!
The presenters just seemed really ill informed, and how he keeps his patience is beyond me completely.....another attractive trait for Mr Rickman! _________________ Alan Rickman...*sigh*... enough said.

I agree Jackie. I am very impatient with people who are in positions where knowledge or reseach is important and yet seem to be painfully ignorant. _________________
