Yea, I've said before that sleeping is my hobby!
that's why working nights is so hard for me, my body (and brain) tell me it's time to go to bed, like a reasonable person!
and when the sun is up, I should be up too (until about 3 pm, then I want a nap!)

I prefer to be up late and sleep late. I've been a night owl since birth apparently. I was born at 7:01pm during a blizzard in January. My mother says I was never a morning person as a child and I'm still not. I need at least 8 hours of sleep but 9 or more is preferable. If I don't have to be up in the morning for work I sleep peacefully. If I'm working somewhere, it would not matter how early I went to bed I would still wake up half a dozen times before the alarm goes off. Long sleep or short sleep, either way, I'd still have my nightmares. I have horrific nightmares every night interspersed with the occasional great dream. This has been happening for as long as I can possibly remember.

I got to thinking about this, and what if Alan was looking to see if any of the Divas were there!!! Maybe he DOES check out this forum and has seen the "What We All Look Like" thread... Shocked And he was looking to see if he'd be chased down by madwomen with camping gear and green bean casserole!! Laughing

See quote:
Mr. Rickman is considering buying a place in the United States because he spends so much time in Manhattan and says, "I love New York, and I'm immensely grateful to America." Surprised

A person I met in Pelham hinted that there would be something coming up for him (theatre?) in NY in the not so distant future (even with 2 more HP movies to be made). 7 hours isn't that far a drive in the grand scheme of things. As opposed to London, say. Wink

Hopefully he will still continue to work in Britain once he has his American apartment. It does make sense to buy a place though if he is there regularly.

You say that, but on the plane it's 5.5 hours to London... so you could get here quicker than you could drive to New York....

It is possible! When I saw him he looked at me for like a minute during the Q&A, but I didn't say anything because I... I don't know why I didn't say anything...

The flight is shorter yes but the cost... Rolling Eyes I love London. I can't wait to get back but I have to save some more money first. My whole 'Creditors' plan fell to pieces when my friend had to change her trip to Europe to late June. The army was paying for her flight and room and they actually changed the dates for her. Then my car died and I had to buy another one and then I lost my job! So even if I went alone I'd still have to come up with the money for the flight and lodging. I hate being strapped for cash.

I always thought Alan would be the kind of guy who would not like to live in hotels all the time. And if that theatre thing leads to some longer stay in New York (I will have to get that passport with all my genetic secrets) I would not be surprised if he felt he needed a home away from home.

personally for me, selfish person that I am, there would be a much more likely chance of seeing Alan in NY than London, even though I want to go to London so bad it makes me crazy.
I priced flights last night (a favorite online pastime, pricing flights and hotels....weird, huh??) and they were like 900-1200 USD!! (I looked at Sept. even tho I have a snowball's chance of going within the next year Crying or Very sad )
NY is more manageable, could even drive there....ick.

had a family reunion today (hubby's) and our niece (who's 27 and teaching college level English--what???) had spent a couple of semesters in England and Ireland...I'm so jealous!! Rolling Eyes

Well, if anyone really can't afford accomodation, remember I live in London, so my door is always open... I just wish I had a guest room!

You will all be welcome to. Someday, however, I do need to invest in a blowup bed or something.

Hopefully I will be getting interviews in London soon. It seems to be the only place with jobs! I've applied for loads, so fingers crossed!
