Well that was a bit of a shock for me. Yesterday I could not get a line to this forum for more than 8 hours last night. I kind of felt lost. So I ask those of you, who would like to, to give me their email-addresses. I would not like to lose the contacts I made here, only because of the forum breaking down. What if that had been permanent.

I thought maybe it was just me! I'm kind of relieved that it wasn't but at the same time felt a touch of panic myself. Shocked I would most definitely miss the Rickman Girls, that's for sure! Sad

I had the same problem yesterday! though I do find it does go down from time to time but only for short periods previously.

It is Thanksgiving in the USA this weekend, Isn't it? Maybe the Americans are preoccupied. But there is not going on much here right now.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, but people are probably out making the preparations this weekend- buying the turkey, etc. We go to my sister-in-law's and everyone brings a dish to pass. I always get saddled with the green bean casserole. For those of you who have never had it, it's green beans, mushroom soup, and fried onions mixed together and baked in the oven. I think it's GROSS! I'm not sure why everyone likes the way I fix it, but it's always requested. I have no idea of how it tastes because I won't touch it. Apparently, though, I do something right... Confused

It does sound like one of Snape's more unpleasant potions. Green beans in mushroom soup... But of course one cannot sensibly fight about tastes

I LOVE green bean casserole!! I'm the only one in my family who likes it, so I don't make it, I just have to eat it whenever I'm somewhere else. Sad

When my daughter was little at pre-school, one day I asked her what they had eaten for lunch , she said "Miss Terri made green beans with white slop!" of course it was green bean casserole! We thought it was so funny, we still refer to it as green beans with white slop! Laughing

Hm, green bean casserole does not sound like anything I would like to taste...

But I guess we have our share of not so pleasent food around here too...
Like, "surströmming", for example. It´s considered to be a delicassy, but what it basically is, is rotten fish! I have never tasted it, just the smell of it is enough to drive you far, far away! Shocked

Thanksgiving sounds so nice, we don´t have any good holidays until christmas.

I think informe.com (the host of the board) was having issues, so there was really no way for me to personally resolve the problem (which would have been the case were this board to be hosted on my own server). At any rate, yes, I did notice the outage but it was beyond my control unfortunately.

Sometimes it is only the lack of access to the internet.

I wonder whether we should put in some effort and meet somewhere.
Everybody gets their other obligations shoved off to someone else for one weekend and we meet for a Rickman Girls Time of Fun...

Maybe Alan should stay away, he might not survive that weekend otherwise...

I think that is a great idea, it would be so much fun to meet all of you!
Maybe it can work out, somehow. We can all go to Britain and stay in tents outside Alans house...
And all of you are always very welcome to Sweden... It´s really beutiful here in the summer! Very Happy
