Poor Eustacia, and your boyfriend. You must both be feeling very stressed and down after all of that. Marie is right, bad things do seem to happen in groups, I've been through it myself, the only way to get through times like this is to support each other and to try and be optimistic. It can be extremely hard, but if you let it all bring you down completely, you will not be able to support your boyfriend and his father. And when you do feel down, just come here and have a rant and we'll all send you e-hugs. It won't make things better, but hopefully it'll cheer you up a bit. I hope things start to get better soon.

Love you, girls!
Thanks. And it does make things a little better to come here and talk about it.

Sorry things are looking down right now, Eustacia. I'm sure every thing will reach resolution, but right now it's difficult. So sending hugs your way!

Coming here does help. E-hugs are just as effective as regular hugs. My thoughts and prayers are with you Eustacia.

Thanks, Divas. The virtual hugs are very much appreciated.
Not much news today. Doctors are still running tests in order to determine the best course of action.
At least Germany has reached the semi-finals of the Euro 2008... Wink

Eustacia, you are your family and in my prayers. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, but I hope that now things can only get better. Much love and hugs - Vxxx

Thanks, Velouria!
Unfortunately, prospects still look bleak. Doctors say they can't delay the surgery any more because the sepsis is getting dangerous, they're operating tomorrow. Basically, what they tell my boyfriend is that there is no way of knowing if his father will survive surgery, but it is certain that sepsis will kill him if surgery is delayed. So some hope is better than none.

Awe, Eustacia, I'm so sorry. Sometimes the things that are thrown at us in life are too much to handle..
Your family will be in my prayers. I hope the surgery goes well.

Not sure whether to post this under "Happy Announcements", kind of fits there better, but: my boyfriend's dad survived the surgery. He hasn't regained consciousness yet, but doctors told us before that this can't be expected until tomorrow. He's not out of the woods yet, there's still internal bleedings doctors can't localize, and there is a risk of coma, but we'll worry about that tomorrow. Today, our relief is more overwhelming than any other emotion.
Thanks for all your support and virtual hugs! I'll keep you updated.

Eustacia,

I think just the simple fact that he survived the surgery shows that he's fighting and wants to beat this. I think it's very positive news, indeed. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers, and send lots of good thoughts and well wishes your way.

Take care, and if you need anything we're here for you!

My PC totally crashed on me!! I am sitting in the library so that I can leave a message for you all!! I wont be online again for maybe 10 days or so!! Need a new pc, modem etc!! a power surge during a storm burned the whole thing!! Luckily the memory is still fairly intact so data can be transfered over!
I will see you all again in a few days!

Oh my, that sounds absolutely terrible. I remember how it was not to have access to the internet while I was living on my mother's couch when my house was being built. Poor Lorraine. I am feeling for you.
